William Field Memorial Hart-Montague Bicycle Tree

Description

Spring is a great time to ride a bike, and the William Field Memorial Hart-Montague Bicycle Tree is a fully paved, gently rolling terrain to see some nature and the results of one of our state’s Rails to Trails projects.. Come join us on Saturday, May 22 at the west side of the state for some cycling, some nature, and some lunch at Big Hart Brewing.

History of Trail

We will start at the trailhead in Sheby, Michigan and ride north for 8 miles until we arrive at Big Hart Brewing in Hart, a local microbrewery known for great food and beverage. Then, we turn around and head back to the cars. If the 16-mile round trip is too much, pick up the caravan in Mears and cut the trip in half.

We will meet at the Shelby Trail Head at 11:00 and try to hit the road at 11:15, hoping to arrive sometime shortly after noon. We will return after lunch.

For those of you on the West side, head on over. Bring friends and introduce them to MAEOE. For those of you from farther away, make it a weekend and stay the night in one of the many great Lake Michigan coastal towns.

Please sign up on the website by May 8 if you plan on attending. If we don’t have 15 people by then, we will need to cancel it.

This is a great opportunity to see the west side of our state, get some exercise and see some old frends and make some new ones.
